First Baptist School of Laurel Reviews

We have been FBSL for 9 yrs, through thick and thin and it still the best school for my child. The value is excellent and so are the teachers. The new principal has changed the school for the better....out with the old and time for the new. As long as we can we will be right there!!!!! My child learns a grade above level.

I would recommend this school. My kids have been at FBSL for many years. I have found that my kids learn very well the subject they need. The teachers care about their learning. They go out of their way to even tutor them. My only complaint is homework. Too much. Good for the kids though.

I would not recommend this school. Their K program functions lower than the neighboring public school. Teachers have been there tooooo long, and are out-of date/out-of-touch with children of this time. If your child needs a lot of time to grasp concepts, and may not learn as fast, then this is the perfect school.

My oldest child, soon to be a 6th grader, started at First Baptist when she was 4. We never intended to send our children to private school but we fell in love with the teachers and the school. First Baptist offers a challenging curriculum and small class sizes. We now have two children there and will be sending a 3rd soon.

this is the second year my son goes to the school, I have to say it has been ok. had few issues with other children who seems to have behaiver problems and it seems to me like the teachers don't really get involved or ask the parents to be involved untill someone complaints. but other than that the school is good, the principal is accessible.
