Global Leadership Academy Charter School Reviews

My grandson just started at Global this past September. I am very involved and admire the teachers and administrators open door policy. They don't hesistate to call me immediately when something is wrong so we can work together as a team to get things resolved. This is a completely different atmosphere from the school he attended last year. I am looking forward to watching my grandson grow, learn, and excell at Global.

The Principal Mrs. Evans, is a very good leader at this school and a great asset.

Since this school has been under the leadership of Dr. Booker, the program in my opinion has excelled in several areas. The teaching methodology is consistent across the board and they have a holistc approach to teaching. My daughter is an A-B student and has been since kindergarten and I think it's one of the better charter schools around.

My daughter just started attending GLA this year and I am very satisfied with the staff and school. All of the teachers are highly educated and dedicated to the students of GLA. The administration is very suuportive and make themselves available for any problems/concerns. I have no doubt that GLA will become one, if not the BEST, charter school in Philadelphia. The goals they have set for themselves are outstanding and I commend the CEO for being so earnest in making changes that will benefit the school, our children, and society in the long run. My daughter loves the school. From the very first day she was welcomed by teachers and students alike, and has made friends with some of the nicest children I have ever met. We look forward to spending the next few years at GLA!

I used to love this school. My chiildren have attended sicne Kindergarden. The level of communication has dropped. The administration has become too arrogant to deal sensitively with special needs children.

I have a daughter that's been attending RHQ since kindergarten I must [say] she been through some ups and downs, but the teachers and staff there worked with her and did not give up on her, now she love going to school. It's like having a second family around your kids. Thank you so much RHQ, Good Job!

My two daughters attend RHQ both since kindergarden. The entire staff has a great one on one relationship with the parents and the students. The leadership starts with the loving support of Ms. Blanding. I wouldn't send my kids to any other school. We are here for the long haul!

I am so glad we were introduced to this school. The teachers and staff there are wonderful. They really take time to let you know what is going on in class and with your child specifically. The Phila. School District was horrible. The classes were too big and the students do not get that one on one like they do at RHQ! When you go to RHQ the staff actually knows you by your name! I must admit that this is without a doubt the best school in Philadelphia! Thank you RHQ for making my children feel like part of a family in school and not just another kid in a classroom! Many thanks.. Elaine

I have 2 children at RHQ Friendship site since 2005 and have been very pleased with this school and the teachers and very happy that I took my girls out of public school they are learning so much more since the classrooms are not that big and the children at this site are very well mannered and sweet! Keep up the good work Friendship! Two thumbs up to Ms. Blanding!

The academic program appears to be very good. However, there needs to more artistic programs such as music, art, and foriegn languages. My son is a very good reader and he loves going to school.

The level of parental involvement is very low. They have no outside activities for the children and are struggling to maintain the interest of the children.

My Children have been enrolled in Raising Horizons Charter school since its inception in 2002. I must say that I am quite pleased with the educational benefits that my 2 Sons have received. Chancellor Russell is a caring, supportive and steadfast leader. She really cares about the Children. My Sons have received many benefits by attending the School. This school provides a safe and nuturing environment for the Childern. Chancellor has an open door policy. I would love to be a part of this organization for many years to come. RHQ is indeed the greatest! -Signed, Ms. Fofana

RhQ has an excellent program and focuses on every aspect of the child's development, not just the intellect. RHQ provides not only the students with guidance, but personalizes programs for children with challenges. If necessary they will outline a program for parents as well. The teaching staff truly believes that it takes a village to raise a child. I am thankful that both of my children will only have to attend one school. Keep up the good work RHQ!

I think this school is great and the teachers are good. It starts at home if our children are well disciplined they will carry it out in the world. GOOD JOB QUEST! Keep up the good work.
