http://www.schoonerwoodwind.com/graphics/wwpana.jpg In partnership with my Young Adventurers Meetup group. Annapolis is "America's Sailing Capital" in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay. Help raise the sails, steer the boat, or simply sit back and relax as "Woodwind" sails from the historic waterfront, past the Naval Academy and cruises into the Chesapeake Bay. Woodwind is a replica of the classic, fast wooden schooners that were built as "yachts" in the early part of this century. Her handsome mahogany brightwork, gleaming chrome and roomy cockpit distinguish her from cargo carrying work vessels. Itinerary We are doing the "sunset sail" which goes from 6:30-8:30pm and enjoy the scenery while watching the sunset. They serve light snacks and soda. Be sure to show up around 6ish so you are not left behind. Afterwards, we then head to one of the spectacular nearby Annapolis seafood restaurants as a nightcap to a wonderful day of sailing to dine and converse among newly made friends. On the sail, we will see some of the following landmarks; United States Naval Academy Scenic Severn River Historic Annapolis Skyline Thomas Point Lighthouse Chesapeake Bay Bridge Cost: - $47~ per person for the sailing. Includes light snacks,soda and gratuity for the crew. - $6 extra dollars to be guaranteed a seat at the restaurant. This money is only to minimize no-shows for the dining part. Once you arrive at the restaurant, I will give you $5 back in cash. I keep the other $1 due to paypal fees. So pay $53 if you want both sailing and dining. I cap seating at 10 people unless the restaurant gives me a bigger table arrangement. Cancellation Policy Once tickets are purchased, there are no refunds or exchanges hence I cannot issue you a refund. Refunds are only issued in the event of inclement weather and that is decided by the captain. They do sail in light rain but not in stormy weather. If they cancel, we will reschedule to another date. Group is capped at 18 people so pay soon and fast! I will finalize restaurant venue soon as there is so much to choose from. The place will be within walking distance from the dock.
