The Tasting Room Wine Bar & Shop

The Tasting Room is more than just a wine bar and shop: it’s a place where you can let your palette explore any number of wines without committing to an entire glass of each. From nearby Virginia to Europe, the selection provides a wide variety to while away an afternoon in a relaxed, unpretentious setting.

The satellite tasting room for Boxwood Winery in Middleburg, Virginia is located in the heart of Friendship Heights’ brand-new mall development and is the setting for a perfect break after an afternoon of shopping. The room features a temperature-regulated enomatic wine machine which allow patrons to self-serve by using an “eno-card” to select a one or three-ounce taster, or a five-ounce glass. (You can also order from the bartender as well). There’s indoor seating at the bar and at various tables, but when the weather is warm, people enjoy their wine outside in the patio area out front.

To accompany your wine, a light selection of cheeses and charcuteries are available as well. On Wednesday and Friday nights, the wine comes with a side of live jazz entertainment.
